Suffering has a wonderful way of dragging us, kicking and screaming, onto the path of self-discovery. And thank goodness it does. It can be our greatest teacher; leading us to a boundless joy that does not depend on external circumstances, introducing us to a vast love that is always here, allowing us to experience a depth of joy and freedom that go way beyond our conditioned definitions of happiness.
I am a Martha Beck trained coach, self-inquiry facilitator (using The Work of Byron Katie, The Emotional Freedom Technique and various other groovy methods) and a very regular schmo with an unquenchable thirst for understanding the workings of the human mind. I have a stubborn hunger to see what is behind the cosmic curtain (a dolphin in case you’re wondering), why life feels so gosh darn hard for so many of us and what we can do about it besides eating more cake. This has taken me on some wild rides, as well as, and most importantly, showing me the infinite capacity of our heart and mind to unfurl ever deeper into the arms of an unbreakable and unconditional love. Through my own experience of chronic illness, mental health shiz and a very generous helping of existential angst (spoiler alert- all very much linked)
I have seen over and over again that what we are is never broken, our worthiness is not in question, ever, and that here and now is the only place where peace and contentment need to be recognised.
I have spent the last 15 years dedicated to the unravelling of suffering, setting up the Headspace Meditation app as the founding employee, learning from and training with some of the wisest women and men I could find, trying super weird stuff that will make for a hilarious memoir one day, gently honing my skills and tools on a constant basis (with myself as my number 1 client), seeing that working with our mind and heart is magic and can shift our experience of life, increasingly expanding into the freedom that is always waiting within, and learning over and over (and over) that the key to everything on the path to true happiness is radical self-acceptance and compassion.
I am my life’s work and I am deeply passionate about offering my skills and experience and holding a space for you to touch the love, freedom and ease waiting within.
Ready for some lovin'?
